Tel Group Raise £3,626 Climbing Snowdon for Help Harry Help Others

19 June, 2024

We are incredibly proud of our team for completing our Snowdon challenge in support of Help Harry Help Others’ Hero 365 initiative.

The Charity

Tel Group has proudly supported HHHO as their chosen charity for many years. HHHO is a charity that provides support services to cancer patients and their families in legacy of Harry Moseley, an inspiring young boy who lost his battle with cancer in 2011.

The Hero 365 initiative was set up to encourage individuals and organisations to take on challenges and raise funds to keep the HHHO support centre operational throughout the year.

The Challenge

On Friday 7th June 2024, 12 members of our team took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon. Our goal was to raise at least £850, the amount needed to keep the HHHO support centre running for a single day.

Each team member set a personal fundraising goal of £100 to achieve our target, helping create some friendly competition.

The Climb

Our team set off first thing Friday morning, ready to attempt our climb of Snowdon via the Llanberis path.

The more competitive members of our team completed the 8 mile climb up and down in less than 3.5 hours, while the rest opted for a more leisurely pace, with everyone finishing the climb in approximately 5 hours.

We finished off the day with a trip to the pub and some well-deserved celebratory drinks, albeit with some aching legs.

Reaching our Goal

A massive well done to everyone who took part and helped us smash our £850 target to raise a total of £3,626  – the cost of running the HHHO centre for over 4 days!! We would like to wish a massive thank you to everyone that took the time to donate to the cause and support us in completing this challenge.

We look forward to continuing our support of HHHO and raising awareness for the great work they do.
